Educator
Teaching has been an integral part of Michelle's experience for nearly 20 years. Because her teaching has spanned such a wide variety of subjects - ranging from high school Literature and Reading classes to Theater and Basic Psychology, from Basic Horse Handling and Basic Riding Skills to Personal Health and Relationship classes – she has learned that education truly comes from within, rather than from without an individual. For instance, no matter what an “assignment” may be, no matter what we are asked to read or write, Michelle believes that true learning comes from our personal insights, our exploration of our hearts and souls and how we interact with the given material, rather than simply the material itself.
Michelle has worked extensively with youth who struggle with their learning in one way or another, and whole-heartedly believes in learning differences, rather than learning disabilities. There are multitudinous ways to learn, and everyone possesses various intelligences, and Michelle is passionate about helping youth find their joy and motivation in learning again.
